My name is Dr. Nevine Salah Darwish, and I am currently working as Lecturer
of Histopathology at the Research Institute of Ophtalmology - Cairo, Egypt
(short C.V. enclosed).
I am the wife of Dr. Hazem Helmy Ramadan who is posted as the First
Secretary (political section) of the Embassy of Egypt in Seoul for a period
of 4 years (September 2000 - September 2004).
In order to make best use of the time to be spent in Seoul, and to enhance
my career, I kindly ask you to explore the possibility of getting further
medical experience and practical work (unpaid) in a specialized medical
institution in Seoul, (e.g. a university department, a research institute, a
hospital, or at a medical school), on the following research items:
- Electronmicroscopy & Gold Markers (applications)
- Immunohistochemistry
- Tissue Culture
If possible, it is kindly requested to have the sponsoring or host medical
institution in Seoul issue a letter stating that “Dr. Nevine Salah Darwish”
has been accepted to train in the fields of "…..…. and/or …..., and/or…..."
Starting from 1.9.2000 for a period of 1 year (extendable for more years).
This would be a great help in furthering my career, and in making the stay

* Currently working as Lecturer in Histopathology at the Research Institute

* Graduated from Kasr El Aini School of Medicine, Cairo University, December
1984 obtaining the degree of MB. Bch. (very good with honours).
* Obtained the masters degree (MS) in May 1990 (excellent). The thesis was
titled: “Corneal endothelial viability after air injection in intraocular
operations”.
* Obtained the Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in November 1994 (excellent). The
thesis was titled: “Effect of ultraviolet radiation on the cornea”. The
practical scientific work was done through joint cooperation between the
Research institute of Ophthalmology - Cairo, Egypt and the Institute for
Experimental Ophthalmology - Bonn, Germany.
